Google awesomely marks what would’ve been author Douglas Adams’s 61st birthday and reminds us that the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was, in fact, an e-book you could get on a Kindle. :-)
waking is a sin
when dreaming is your religion
sinning is abrupt endings
and blurry edges
is my fading joy
and hot tears
when i realize your not here-
not even real
Everything is free
not just me and
the people, amorphic
and dancing across my mind
behind my falshing eyes
Yousir on the street
your Jesus Christ, am I right?
— Most times I wish
I were you and you
me so we both could see
each other; clearly
But I forget - I digress -
I forfeit - I lose
so save your lecture, sister
from your golden cistern
i need to hear it like i need another one of you
you could at least have the courtesy
- while your cutting me -
to finish me off
like a surgeon would
